Brazil can play an important role in facilitating the return of Ukrainian children deported by Russia

This was stated by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak during his online discussion with representatives of the Brazilian media.

The Head of the Presidential Office emphasized that Russia's war against Ukraine has caused suffering for millions of Ukrainians, and its consequences affect the whole world, as the alliance between Russia, North Korea, Iran and Venezuela strengthens.

“Together, they are disrupting world order, creating chaos, because chaos is a world ruled by force. They are fueling regional conflicts as part of their global war against democracies,” he noted.

Andriy Yermak stressed that Ukrainian children are suffering from Russian aggression. 596 young Ukrainians have been killed, while 1736 others have been wounded. Russia has deported or forcibly displaced thousands of Ukrainian children.

The Head of the Presidential Office is confident that Brazil, committed to protecting human rights and ensuring global stability, can mediate the return of Ukrainian children, which is one of the priorities for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team. In particular, Brazil can join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, which already includes 41 countries.

According to Andriy Yermak, developing a unified plan to ensure the restoration of the strength of international law is crucial, with Brazil playing an important role in this process.
