On April 16, the symbolic Easter campaign of President Zelenskyy's initiative Bring Kids Back UA launched across European countries. The initiative brings together diplomatic, legal, humanitarian, and advocacy efforts aimed at returning Ukrainian children deported by Russia.
Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wore a sweater with the campaign’s symbolism to remind the world about the deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainian children:
“Ahead of Easter — a family holiday — we remind the world that the war cannot truly be considered over until all Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia are returned. We need real peace — and it will come. The world needs justice — and it must prevail. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine.”
More than 200 European leaders, diplomats, politicians, influencers, and activists joined the campaign. Among them are heads of government, foreign ministers, European commissioners, parliamentarians, journalists, athletes, and artists who posted photos and messages in campaign sweaters. Notable participants include:
Ukrainian high-level officials also joined the campaign, including Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, deputy ministers, and members of Parliament.
The initiative also received strong support from ambassadors, human rights defenders, civil society leaders, and Ukrainian influencers such as Elina Svitolina, Andriy Shevchenko, and Inna Miroshnychenko.
