This song deeply resonates with ongoing work under President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Jerry Heil’s powerful voice serves as a crucial tool in amplifying our diplomatic and legal efforts, helping the world hear the harrowing truth about the forced deportation of Ukrainian children. In her song and accompanying social video, Jerry Heil highlights the heartbreaking stories of Ukrainian children taken from their families and forced into Russian or occupied territories.
One such story is that of 14-year-old Kira Obedinska from Mariupol. After losing her father during a Russian shelling, Kira was injured by a landmine and abducted by the occupiers. Thanks to her grandfather’s relentless efforts, Kira was eventually brought back to Ukraine.
